Safeguarding

Dignity and protection are non-negotiable.

KRF works with children and vulnerable people. Safeguarding therefore shapes programme design, staff and volunteer conduct, photography, reporting and partner expectations.

KRF family and community engagement
01

Do no harm

Programme choices should reduce risk rather than unintentionally increase it.

02

Child protection

Children should be treated with dignity, protected from abuse and never exploited for publicity.

03

Responsible media

Images and stories should be used with appropriate consent and without humiliating or exposing beneficiaries.

04

Report concerns

Safeguarding concerns should be escalated promptly through designated organisational channels.

KRF’s detailed safeguarding procedures should continue to develop alongside programme implementation.

Institutional partners may request the current policy and reporting process during due diligence.

Dignity in practice

Every image and every interaction should protect the people represented.
